We're really excited to welcome two guests to this CDC Extra session – Kieran File and Rob Mason.  Kieran, who leads the Sports Culture and Communication Research Collective (SCCRC) at Warwick University, has supported our work before and it’s a delight to have him back.  This time he is joined from Adelaide by Rob, a researcher, Coach Developer and now Curriculum Development Specialist for MHFA Australia.  We will be exploring their collective passion for all things around language in coaching.  As a stimulus for your thinking there are a couple of links below.

A joint project between England Boxing, UK Coaching and Warwick Applied Linguistics the Focus on Coach Talk download is available half way down the page and answers the question ‘How do Boxing coaches communicate in breaks between rounds on fight night?’

Rob has been keen to make to the research from his PhD, focusing specifically on verbal coach feedback in High Performance Sport Environments, more accessible and there are three blogs for you to have a look at here https://www.masonlearning.com/

The joining link for the WebEx is CDC Extra - 15th April - 10 to 11.30am
