Hi guys. My name is Ish and I'm a p/t and freelance instructor. I've been in the industry for over 30 years but this is my first engagement with this platform. I have little to no experience with online training and realise how important it would be to be able to deliver online p/t and classes. I have a number of questions and wanted to know what the correct protocol is on this website. I have questions re the correct video conferencing tool to use, pricing, marketing etc. Can someone please recommend a source of help or if there is someone I can chat to for some guidance. I thank you in advance.
Hi Ish. Welcome to the ConnectedCoaches community….great to have you on board! So first thing I would recommend you do is look at the different groups you can join on the site. There are currently 9 and one of those is for exercise and fitness professionals (recently added). You can join all the groups on the site here https://community.ukcoaching.org/spaces Once you’ve done that anyone can ask a question. All you have to do is select share on the menu -> click start a conversation -> select the group you want to start the conversation in and then the rest is self-explanatory. Then all members of that group will see the conversation and if anyone has any guidance they will be happy to share it with you I do have some recommendations based on what you have said though. UK Coaching recently released a series of resources called ‘Six Steps to Being a Successful Online Fitness Coach’ that will cover a lot of the things you mention. It is usually available to UK Coaching subscribers (more information here https://www.ukcoaching.org/subscription) but it has been unlocked until 31 May so is free to access until then (so hurry!). Link here https://www.ukcoaching.org/resources/topics/search?query=Adam%20Haines%27&order=recentThere is also a webinar which is free to access called ‘Delivering Great Coaching Online’. You just need to register/login to access it. Link here https://www.ukcoaching.org/resources/topics/webinars/delivering-great-coaching-online Hope these are helpfulCheersRob
